Who can help?
Anyone of any age. Women, men, girls and boys.
How can you help?
Come to our monthly work day on the second Tuesday of each
month at the church fellowship hall from 9:00-3:30. Come and go throughout
the day as it suits you, with a covered dish lunch at noon. We knot comforters
and sometimes assemble various kits such as school kits, health kits,
sewing kits, comforter kits, relief kits, newborn kits, shoebox gifts
for children, and other special kits. There are plenty of toys for young
children, and fabric blocks and permanent fabric markers for children
to design comforter patches that we piece together to make a comforter
which is sent overseas to a needy child in an orphanage or hospital.
You can volunteer to do projects at home....
Knit or crochet 7x9 inch blocks to be made into afgahns
Knit or crochet hats
Sew simple projects with sewing machine
String kit bags
Cut fabric squares
Piece comforter tops
If you do not have time to volunteer, maybe you can help by donating
some of these items:
